En este marco, las terapias fotot\u00e9rmica (PTT) y fotodin\u00e1mica (PDT) se posicionan como m\u00e9todos innovadores que convierten la luz infrarroja cercana en energ\u00eda terap\u00e9utica para combatir tumores.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Un reciente estudio, publicado en la revista cient\u00edfica <em>Nanoscale<\/em> y que cuenta con la coautor\u00eda del profesor Andreas Rosenkranz, Director del\u00a0N\u00facleo Milenio de MXenos Avanzados para Aplicaciones en Sustentabilidad (AMXSA), explora el uso de andamios de \u00e1cido poli(l\u00e1ctico-co-glic\u00f3lico) (PLGA) mejorados con materiales avanzados como \u00f3xido de grafeno, Ti3C2Tx MXeno y dicalcogenuros de metales de transici\u00f3n como TiS2, evaluados en c\u00e1nceres de mama bioimpresos en 3D. Estos andamios est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados para maximizar la eficiencia de conversi\u00f3n fotot\u00e9rmica y la generaci\u00f3n de especies reactivas de ox\u00edgeno (ROS), permitiendo comparar las propiedades terap\u00e9uticas de cada material 2D.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Esta investigaci\u00f3n representa un gran avance en nuestra b\u00fasqueda de tratamientos m\u00e1s efectivos y personalizados contra el c\u00e1ncer de mama&#8221;, se\u00f1ala Andreas Rosenkranz, director del N\u00facleo Milenio AMXSA y acad\u00e9mico del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica, Biotecnolog\u00eda y Materiales (DIQBM) de la Universidad de Chile. &#8220;La combinaci\u00f3n de nanotecnolog\u00eda con ingenier\u00eda de tejidos abre nuevas posibilidades terap\u00e9uticas que podr\u00edan transformar significativamente el panorama de la oncolog\u00eda&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Los resultados del estudio demuestran una notable reducci\u00f3n en la viabilidad tumoral tras la irradiaci\u00f3n de los andamios, as\u00ed como una modulaci\u00f3n de las respuestas biol\u00f3gicas al da\u00f1o celular, incluyendo procesos como la autofagia y la piroptosis. Estas respuestas son inducidas de manera diferencial seg\u00fan las caracter\u00edsticas espec\u00edficas de los materiales utilizados.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>La integraci\u00f3n de estos nanomateriales en andamios impresos en 3D no solo mejora la eficacia terap\u00e9utica de la PTT y la PDT, sino que tambi\u00e9n permite un control preciso del entorno celular post-terapia. Esto incluye la regeneraci\u00f3n tisular y efectos antibacterianos, aportando valiosa informaci\u00f3n sobre el potencial de estas tecnolog\u00edas en la medicina personalizada.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Nuestro enfoque tambi\u00e9n busca entender y controlar c\u00f3mo las c\u00e9lulas tumorales responden a estos tratamientos avanzados, para garantizar resultados m\u00e1s seguros y efectivos&#8221;, agrega Rosenkranz. &#8220;Este tipo de innovaciones no solo ofrecen nuevas esperanzas en el tratamiento del c\u00e1ncer, sino que tambi\u00e9n sientan las bases para avances en la regeneraci\u00f3n de tejidos y otras aplicaciones m\u00e9dicas&#8221;. Este avance promete transformar el tratamiento y la reconstrucci\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer de mama, marcando un paso significativo hacia terapias m\u00e1s efectivas y adaptadas a las necesidades
