{"id":1531,"date":"2024-11-08T18:32:36","date_gmt":"2024-11-08T18:32:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mxenes.cl\/home\/?p=1531"},"modified":"2024-11-08T18:35:44","modified_gmt":"2024-11-08T18:35:44","slug":"director-del-nucleo-milenio-amxsa-se-adjudica-proyecto-de-exploracion-de-anid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mxenes.cl\/home\/en\/director-del-nucleo-milenio-amxsa-se-adjudica-proyecto-de-exploracion-de-anid\/","title":{"rendered":"Director of the Millennium Nucleus AMXSA is awarded an ANID Exploration Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>The funding provided by the National Agency for Research and Development aims to promote excellence in research.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El profesor <strong>Andreas Rosenkranz, director del N\u00facleo Milenio de MXenos Avanzados para aplicaciones en Sustentabilidad (AMXSA) <\/strong>y doctor e investigador del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica, Biotecnolog\u00eda y Materiales (DIQBM), junto a <strong>Fabiola Pineda, acad\u00e9mica del Centro de Nanotecnolog\u00eda Aplicada de la Universidad Mayor<\/strong>, lideran el estudio \u201cTowards corrosion mitigation for extreme conditions: exploring max-phase and mxenes coatings for enhanced thermal energy storage systems of CSP plants\u201d, que se adjudic\u00f3 el Proyecto Exploraci\u00f3n 2024, financiado por la Agencia Nacional de Investigaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo (ANID).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto \u201cHacia la mitigaci\u00f3n de la corrosi\u00f3n en condiciones extremas: exploraci\u00f3n de recubrimientos de fase m\u00e1xima y mxenes para sistemas mejorados de almacenamiento de energ\u00eda t\u00e9rmica en plantas CSP\u201d, en su traducci\u00f3n al espa\u00f1ol, destaca la importancia de abordar el desarrollo de nuevas energ\u00edas que tengan el car\u00e1cter de sostenibles y limpias. \u201cPor ejemplo, la energ\u00eda solar es cada vez m\u00e1s esencial para generar electricidad de forma limpia y sostenible, lo que ha impulsado el inter\u00e9s y uso de tecnolog\u00edas avanzadas en este \u00e1mbito. En Latinoam\u00e9rica, Chile ha liderado la implementaci\u00f3n de esta tecnolog\u00eda. Sin embargo, las condiciones extremas de operaci\u00f3n, como la alta radiaci\u00f3n, temperaturas elevadas y agentes corrosivos, afectan su eficiencia y durabilidad, adem\u00e1s de generar altos costos de mantenimiento\u201d, explic\u00f3 Rosenkranz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEn respuesta a ello, nuestro proyecto propone soluciones innovadoras para prevenir la corrosi\u00f3n mediante el uso de recubrimientos avanzados a base de materiales cer\u00e1micos, conocidos como fases MAX y sus derivados en 2D llamados MXenos. Estos recubrimientos ofrecen una combinaci\u00f3n de resistencia, estabilidad y propiedades qu\u00edmicas ideales para entornos extremos como las plantas de Concentraci\u00f3n Solar de Potencia (CSP). Confiamos en que nuestros resultados contribuyan a mitigar el proceso de corrosi\u00f3n en estas plantas, favoreciendo as\u00ed un uso m\u00e1s amplio y confiable de fuentes de energ\u00eda renovables\u201d, sostuvieron los investigadores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los cient\u00edficos afirmaron que la tecnolog\u00eda de CSP, almacena energ\u00eda solar en fluidos a altas temperaturas y permite la producci\u00f3n masiva de electricidad tanto de d\u00eda como de noche y en todas las estaciones del a\u00f1o, lo que es una importante ventaja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para la acad\u00e9mica de la Universidad Mayor, Fabiola Pineda, esta investigaci\u00f3n, \u201cpermitir\u00e1 mitigar uno de los principales problemas que hoy en d\u00eda afecta las plantas de concentraci\u00f3n solar de potencia: la corrosi\u00f3n. Al mitigar este problema, aumentar\u00e1 la eficiencia y vida \u00fatil de las plantas, lo que nos permitir\u00eda fortalecer el liderazgo de Chile en energ\u00edas renovables y apoyar la transici\u00f3n hacia fuentes limpias\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sobre los Proyectos de Exploraci\u00f3n, ANID afirma que el objetivo es contribuir al desarrollo y consolidaci\u00f3n de la investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfico-tecnol\u00f3gica disruptiva, novedosa, de alta incertidumbre y con un importante potencial transformador, mediante el financiamiento de proyectos de
